As the Vice President for Central Asia, Azerbaijan and Mongolia Andrew Beklemishev is responsible for IDC's rapidly expanding business in these developing markets. He oversees and participates in all IDC research, market intelligence consulting, and IDC events in this region. Mr. Beklemishev also leads the dynamically growing IDC Global Smart City practice in the CIS countries. He has over fifteen years of experience in IT and telecommunications. He specializes in Digital Transformation strategies for businesses, cities and whole countries.
Mr. Beklemishev is a Board Member and co-founder of Kazakhstan Society of IT Managers and the President of Central Asia Chapter of HEC Alumni Association.
Prior to joining IDC in 2007, Beklemishev’s experience included work with Central Asian governments, USAID, UNDP, UNESCAP, the World Bank, and the European Commission, as well as with various non-governmental organizations and private companies.
Andrew Beklemishev holds a Master of Science degree in management from the International Academy of Business (Kazakhstan) and an international executive MBA with honors from the HEC School of Management (France).
