Vasyl Melnychuk, has more than 22 years of professional IT experience, of which 20 years in the banking industry. In 1998, Vasyl joined the team that launched the Ukrainian subsidiary of the Dutch financial group ING, then devoted three years to the international project ING in Afghanistan, where Vasyl has built the IT infrastructure of the new bank for shareholders - the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and several international holdings. The next six years he held the position of a board member of operations at the subsidiary bank of the Austrian financial group Volksbank in Lviv, Ukraine.
Vasyl has a solid experience in "building from scratch", as well as in reengineering of a technical (management of production capacities of server equipment, SAN and server virtualization systems) and office infrastructure (office management and job security, construction and repair control). He has experience in implementing the methodology of the ISO 2700x security standard, the Business Continuity plan, management and financial reporting.
Throughout his career, Vasyl actively participated in international IT conferences and summits, delivered several reports on Disaster Recovery and information security.
Vasyl graduated from NTUU "Kiev Polytechnic Institute" (engineering specialty) and Interregional Academy of Personnel Management (finance), is a member of the ISACA Kyiv Chapter and holds the CISA certificate, fluent speaker of Ukrainian, Russian and English.
