Mr. Michalis Moraitis is a Board Member of "The European CIO Association" in Brussels and he is the CIO of the Theocarakis Group, which includes Nissan Greece among its numerous other business activities. He possesses more than two decades of experience in the global market as well as in the Greek environment, and has a proven ability to meet top rated targets and architect business reshapes, transformation, and optimization initiatives with the aim of turning around operationally troubled companies.
In addition he owns extensive knowledge of IT/IS and large scale projects, while he is considered one of the visionary CIO in digital transformation. He has previously held various executive positions in the consulting sector such as Andersen Consulting and Ernst & Young, and has also served extensively in the private sector (automotive, retail & wholesale, e-commerce, apparel, healthcare and services) with organizations such as Yokohama Greece, Deutz Fahr Greece, Hygeia Hospital, koolfly.com etc.
Furthermore he has acted in the past as academic professor at University of Indianapolis and other local and international universities and institutions. Among his other activities he is Member of the Executive Committee of the Hellenic Institute of Informatics of Hellenic Management Association, Founding Member and Member of the Executive Committee of the Hellenic CIO Forum. He is married and has twin daughters.
